I am a graduate of the Spiritual Direction Certificate Program at Divine Mercy University. The Spiritual Direction Certificate Program provided me with the knowledge, skills, and supervision needed as a spiritual director. The program responds to the ongoing need for the followers of Jesus Christ to assist one another on their path of becoming more faithful disciples of the Lord.

What is Spiritual Direction?

It is not counseling, therapy, confession, self-help, or a prayer session. The spiritual director accompanies the directee as they grow in their relationship with God. The true director is the Holy Spirit. One takes the opportunity to open their heart and share memories and experiences with the spiritual director. To further deepen one’s relationship with God, the directee should prayerfully continue to discern and explore any revelations or insights throughout the next month.
